When I launched SermonCanvas in 2012 I acquired my first client through quick LinkedIn campaign. Ironically, he was a pastor in Seattle. After several years of working together remotely he moved to Atlanta to start another church, where we met for the first time in person to discuss branding for this church. Church51 would be located in the newly developed Ponce City Market. It is a church for people who want to change the conversation about church. People who want to build a community and live their lives to give back to this world more than the take from it. 51% People. The brand identity needed to convey this idea while resonating with the young professionals and small millennial families that heavily populate the area.
As the "product" or "experience" of church is fundamentally the people who attend it, hiring and directing custom photography became an important part of creating Church51 brand identity.
